Material Management
After a successful quotation process for a new PCBA or Box build, MMTI creates its own B.O.M. with M&M part numbers while maintaining the customer part number as a reference. After a review of the B.O.M., control plans and operating procedures are generated, and then the P.O. is placed on the system. Based on the component lead-time, material is then placed on order using Alliance MRP system.
All components are stored in the 2300 sq. ft. stockroom after successful receiving inspection and proper material documentation. This area is separated from the production floor and material is release by work order or requisition. Once a work order is created, the stockroom clerk places the components in ESD containers and releases them to the production floor.
  Surface Mount Process

Five SMT lines are set up to handle any top or bottom, fine pitch and BGA assemblies. The three screen printers and four reflow ovens are set up for optimum production results.
  Pin Through Hole Process

Push Lines and PTH assembly lines are used based on low to mid-volume range to process all through hole components. The completed boards, after an in-line inspection procedure go through one of the wave-solders pending lead-base or RoHs requirements. All boards are inspected and touched up if needed, and then go through an in-line wash and dry process.
In Circuit & Functional Test Process

Depending on the requirements, PCBAs go through secondary assembly, and In Circuit Test (ICT). Functional testing is also provided per customer specifications.
  Quality Assurance & Shipping Process

All completed PCBAs are placed at the Final Quality Inspection station. After completion (PASS) the Work Order is closed and all PCBAs are placed in the Finished Goods location.

Based on customer delivery dates all PCBAs are packed using ESD packaging material. Products are then boxed according to customers shipping requirements (if any) and shipped to the destination with an enclosed packing list.
Box Assembly & Burn In Process

MMTI's has allocated about 6000 sq.ft. to Box level assembly and Burn-In processes. Many of the products shipped are UL labeled. MMTI is proud to produce over 50 box assemblies for Kollmorgen, 37 for HC Products and many more for a number of other customers. All packaging material is designed by customer requirements and manuals are included with any other required accessories. Products are then shipped using customer packing list to any location nationwide or to the customer locations for global distribution.
